Updates on Russian EAC Approval

From June 1 2023, the technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAC) “On the safety of products intended for Civil Defense and protection against Natural and Man-made Emergencies” (EAEU TR 050/2021) is into force.This technical regulation establishes mandatory requirements for the following types of products: [A] Means of civil defense protective structures:Protective and hermetic devices, ventilation units, filters etc. [B] Technical means of control, communication and notification:Automated workstations, subscriber terminals etc.[C] Technical means of emergency monitoring: Software and hardware complexes, data transmission means, sensors etc.[D] Emergency rescue vehicles: Emergency rescue vehicles, robotics, tools and means of searching for victimsConformity assessment of products is carried out in the form of certification and is ensured by the application of standards included in the lists of standards approved by the Board of the Eurasian Commission on May 30 of this year.For the purpose of a smooth step–by-step transition to the requirements of this technical regulation, a transition period of 1.5 years has been established -until January 1, 2025.These technical regulations do not apply to products developed and modified for recognition, detection or protection from bacteriological (biological) objects and radioactive materials that can be used for military purposes; products developed and modified for recognition, detection or protection from toxic chemicals used in chemical weapons and chemical warfare agents with mass riots, as well as specially designed components for them; personal protective equipment, which is subject to the technical regulations of the Union “On the safety of personal protective equipment” (TR CU 019/2011).  If you have any questions about certification in the EAC or you need to get a certificate/declaration of the Customs Union or CIS country, write to mahesh.dave@tubrotics.com.  We will definitely answer and advise on all questions.

Our Inspiration Dr. Sameera Simha

Dr. K.S. Sameera Simha with almost 4 decades of teaching at the Secondary School level and as Teacher Educator at the B.Ed. College, a Professor of Education in the capacity of a Selection Grade Lecturer. With his Ph.D. in Education from Bangalore University was on ‘Development of an Instructional Model for the Promotion of Problem-solving skills in students of secondary schools, based on Robert Gagne’s Theory of Learning and Instruction’. He has been a member of various educational organizations such as Faculty of Education, Bangalore University; The Fours Group; R.V. Consortium; project group constituted by DSERT and member of the SSLC Examination Board, Karnataka. He has been a resource person for the development of text books, teacher’s guides and wark books for first, second, third and fourth standard Mathematics books and for World Bank Project, Government of Karnataka under DPEP. He has served as the Secretary of a professional organization for academic development of teachers-SIGMA, Bangalore and has been the Chairman for the development of Mathematics text and workbook classes under UNICEF project. He is the co-author in the translation of ‘Prof. Yashpal Commission Report’ into Kannada, published by the Dept of Public Instructions in Karnataka. Dr. K.S. Sameera Simha was the recipient of the Kempe Gowda Award in 2002.

Commercial Broadcasting ServiceAll India Radio, Bangalore Dr.N.Raghu is an officer of the Indian Broadcasting (Programme) Service working as an Assistant Director (Programmes) at Commercial Broadcasting Service, All India Radio, Bengaluru. Besides his Bachelor‟s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, he earned a D.Lit from Kannada University, Hampi, for his dissertation on musical stylistics titled ‘Sangeetha Shaili Shastra’.He hails from a family of passionate musicians belonging to the student lineage of Saint Tyagaraja. He is also a Grade-I Music Composer of All India Radio and a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship from the Department of Culture for his research thesis, later published as a book titled ‘Rasamsha: A New hypothesis in Indian Music’.A couple of his classical compositions have been adapted for Bharathanatyam by leading dancers of Bangalore.His areas of interests are – Light / Devotional music composing, Musicological Research, music broadcasting, Radio Drama and Broadcast Voice Culture Training.He was instrumental in implementing Amrithavarshini 100.1 FM in 2008 and RAAGAM 24×7, India‟s first ever Classical Music Channel in 2016.Dr Raghu designed a package of about 50 hours of programmes coordinating all the AIR stations in Karnataka for the prestigious Mahamastakabhisheka held at Shravanabelagola in 2018. This package also earned huge revenue.He has been the driving force behind the production of a number of research-based features about various aspects of Indian Music.He had been a guest speaker at the Summer School on Music Science and Technology Research, organized by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (2017).He was an invited speaker at the orientation programme for the research students of Jain University to address the topic – Research Methodologies and Performing Arts (2018).Dr Raghu has been a producer of a number of award-winning radio programmes. He won the first prize for his Kannada Play „Dweepa‟ at the All India Radio Playwright‟s competition (1989) and the first prize for the production of the radio drama “Kharevandra Tappu” at the AIR‟s annual award competition (2009).He did accomplish a unique task of adapting Dr V.K.Gokak‟s epic poetry „Bharatha Sindhu Rashmi‟ to a serial radio drama. His productions „Geethamrutha‟ [Musical adaptation of Srimad Bhagavadgeetha 2 with commentary], „Prasanna Vrindavani‟ [ Musical adaptation of Prasanna Venkatadasa‟s Bhagavatha], „Tatvamayee Bhagavathi‟ [a serial unfolding the concept of Mother Goddess], Ananda Lahari [Translation and Musical adaptations of the initial 41 slokas of the famous Soundaryalahari stotra written by Adi Shankaracharya] and many more musical serial programmes based on extensive research have received immense appreciation from the listeners.As an author, he has to his credit a weekly column on „Broadcast Voice Culture‟ titled „Nudi Nidaana‟ published in „Prajavani‟- the leading Kannada daily and a number of articles on music published in various dailies / magazines.He is on the panel of honorary editors of „Ananya Kala Sinchana‟ – a monthly magazine dedicated to Indian Classical Music and Dance.
