Environmental Testing

Environmental testing

Environmental testing is the measurement of the performance of equipment under specified environmental conditions such as extremely high and low temperatures, salt spray and salt fog & very high or low humidity

Environmental testing is very crucial and important process of evaluating products under different climatic conditions and mechanical stress that products are likely to experience during their life cycle. The process exposes weaknesses in a product’s design or performance that could occur in its operating condition, particularly at extreme levels.

It is the measurement of the performance of equipment under specified environmental conditions such as extremely high and low temperatures, salt spray and salt fog & very high or low humidity

Environmental testing depends on their industry, products, and standards to which they’re testing (such as those set by the ASTM, IEC, ISO, and more)

Our Lab is equipped to simulate different environmental conditions to find out the effects on Product/ Component performance. Environmental conditions such as low temperature, high temperature humidity, vibration, corrosion, low air pressure, Impact (both repetitive and non-repetitive) can be simulated in the laboratories as per requirements of standards like IS, JSS, MIL, IEC, etc.

Our Testing scope are:

  • IS/IEC 60529: 2001 – Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)
  • JSS 55555 :2012 – Environmental test methods for electronic and electrical equipment
  • IEC 61701:2020/IS 9000-11-1983/IEC 60068-2-11:2021- Salt Mist Test
  • IEC 60068-2-2:2007 – Dry Heat Testing
  • IEC 60068-2-14:2023/IS 9000 (Part 14)- Thermal Shock Testing
  • IS 9000(Part VIII): 1981, 60068-2-64: 2008, IEC 61373: 2010 – Vibration Testing
  • IEC 60068-2-1:2007/IS 9000 (Part 2/Sec 1 to 4)/JSS 55555 – Cold Test
  • IEC 60068-2-38:2021/IS 9000 Part 6 – Composite Temperature Humidity
  • IEC 60068-2-30:2005/ IS 9000 (Part 4) – Damp Heat Testing
